What You Need to Know

  • 7:30, 8:30, and 9:30pm start times (Conway Dome)

Team Registration:

Team registration for Session II will open Jan 3rd. This DOES NOT include player registration, it is solely registering your team. Although field space is still lacking, all teams will be accepted, there may just be an extra bye or two in your schedule.

  • Three divisions will be available; Competitive, Semi-Competitive, and Recreational with approximately 7 spots in each (historically). We will fill all divisions as equally as possible based on how many teams submit for each division and available field space.
  • Please only submit your team for the division that fits its skill level. Descriptions of winter divisions can be found here.
  • Membership will be notified when Player Registration has opened.
  • Follow this how-to guide if you get stuck.

Player Registration:

Visit our homepage to register as a player and/or manager for winter. This will open after Team Registration is complete.

  • $5 player registration fee
  • Everyone must register, player, manager, or both, and they must be linked to a team. No free agents.
  • New as of Fall 2022: You may register for more than one team! If you return for a subsequent registration a 100% discount will be automatically applied right before you pay.
  • The league needs to approve player registrations on the backend, therefore you will not see your players show up on Demosphere and your gameday roster until that is done. Please be patient.
  • Register only yourself, not other teammates. This allows for proper documentation of players and multiple registrations in our system.
  • Player registration closes roughly halfway through each session.
  • Follow this how-to guide if you get stuck.

Demosphere Account:

  • If you have not played since Winter I 2021/2022, you'll be prompted to create a fresh account within our new system. You can access your Demosphere account via desktop (login at the top right of mwsl.org) or mobile (via the Demosphere app).
  • The only difference between the desktop version and the app is the ability to gather attendance for each game. You can do that on the app by clicking on each game in the schedule, then marking yes, no, or maybe.
  • We’ve been made aware that the map feature in the app is not the most accurate. Please rely on the field address, NOT the map itself.

Gameday Rosters:

  • To print your gameday roster, follow this how-to guide.
  • EACH team needs to print and bring a roster to every game.
  • The league needs to approve player registrations before you see a gameday roster fully populate. Hence, get your players registered early.
  • Teams are allowed a maximum of 6 write-ins per game, where players are handwritten on the roster.

Player Passes:

  • Managers are responsible for printing their physical player passes and distributing them to their team.
  • Use this how-to guide to print your player passes. The league WILL NOT send you passes unless you encounter technical issues.
  • Every MWSL player must present a valid pass at check-in to participate. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Referee Payment:

  • Referees are paid by the league and do not require payment from teams at halftime.

Total Costs:

  • For a breakdown of what a winter season will cost, see our Season Cost Breakdown.
  • Be aware of fines and fees for the season, should you encounter them.
  • The team manager will be notified via email when payment is needed for field and referees fees after the first game of the season.

Inclement Weather:

  • The MWSL does not have an inclement weather policy, however there is some guidance for winter weather.
  • Be sure to follow the proper procedure for notifying the necessary parties, including contacting fields@mwsl.org and info@mwsl.org as well as the opposing team's manager.

Home Team Gameday Responsibilities:

Home teams are responsible for the following:

  • Providing a game ball(s),
  • Changing jerseys if you match colors with the away team

Code of Conduct:

  • The MWSL Code of Conduct will be strictly enforced. Any violation of this code will be addressed and taken seriously. Safety and enjoyment of the game is our number one priority.
